I have spent the last 2 weeks getting very frustrated with my right hand. I had been spending too much time on the computer and have tendonitis in my wrist – very painful.
A few months ago I bought myself a Cricut Expression to play with. I also purchased the Sure Cuts a Lot software and began exploring the world wide web looking for SVG files to use in my SCAL program. I was amazed at how many files were out there.
Over the weekend of the Rugby League Grand Final my bestie Lynda S and I spent some time crafting. I made a start on my Singapore photos and waded through the 200 odd photos that I took at Singapore Zoo.
This page is my favourite so far. I found the SVG file here. I enlarged the file so it would fit my 12 x12 scrapbook page and cut it out. It was very time consuming poking out all of the cut out pieces but it was worth it when I had finished. The silhouette was cut in black with the green and white cardstock stuck behind it.
Here is the finished product
I was very impressed with how it turned out. It was the perfect background to match our fun photos from the tiger exhibit. The opposite page showed off my beautiful photos of the white tigers.
I hope you like this page. There will be more to come as my hand continues to improve.
